Terms and conditions

In these terms and conditions the following definitions apply: • Platform: the website verbouwpro.nl and all related services • VerbouwPro: the operator of the Platform • Client: the natural person or legal entity that posts a Job through the Platform • Tradesperson: the professional who offers services through the Platform • User: both Clients and Tradespeople • Job: the assignment a Client posts through the Platform • Quote/Bid: the proposal a Tradesperson makes for a Job

These terms and conditions apply to: • Every visit to and use of the Platform • Every registration as a User • Every agreement between VerbouwPro and a User • All agreements concluded through the Platform between Clients and Tradespeople By using the Platform you accept these terms.

VerbouwPro offers an online platform where: • Clients can post jobs • Tradespeople can respond to jobs with quotes • Parties can get in touch with each other VerbouwPro is solely an intermediary platform. This means: • We put clients and tradespeople in touch with each other • We do not carry out any work ourselves • We are not a party to the agreement between client and tradesperson A concrete example: If you find a painter for your home through VerbouwPro, you enter into the agreement directly with that painter. VerbouwPro is not a party to it. If something goes wrong with the painting, you must resolve this directly with the painter. VerbouwPro can help with reporting problems or looking for a solution, but we are not responsible for the quality of the work. VerbouwPro does not guarantee that: • Clients receive quotes • Tradespeople get jobs • The quality of the work meets particular standards

To use certain features you must create an account. You are responsible for: • Providing correct and complete information • Keeping your login details secret • All activity that takes place through your account VerbouwPro may refuse, suspend or terminate accounts in the event of: • Suspected misuse or fraud • Breach of these terms • Unacceptable behaviour

When using the Platform it is prohibited to: • Provide incorrect or misleading information • Send spam or mislead other Users • Engage in illegal activities • Disrupt the operation of the Platform • Post content that infringes the rights of third parties • Contact other parties directly in order to bypass the Platform • Create multiple accounts for the same person/company

For Clients: • Posting jobs and receiving quotes is free • No intermediary fees are charged For Tradespeople: • Costs may be associated with responding to leads • Prices are clearly communicated in advance • Payment is made using the methods indicated on the Platform

The following additional terms apply specifically to business users (tradespeople): Ranking of jobs: • Sponsored jobs are shown at the top • Non-sponsored jobs are sorted by distance • Your registered trades determine which jobs you see • See /ranking for a full explanation Example: A painter in Amsterdam with a 25 km service area first sees sponsored jobs, then jobs in Amsterdam, then jobs in surrounding municipalities. Account termination: • VerbouwPro may suspend your account in the event of violations • You always receive a written reason • You have the right to appeal within 14 days • See /appeal for the appeals procedure Complaints and disputes: • First contact us at support@verbouwpro.nl • Complaints are handled within 14 working days • You can also use online dispute resolution (ODR): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Agreements between Clients and Tradespeople: • Are concluded directly between these parties • VerbouwPro is not a party to them • Are governed by the arrangements the parties make between themselves VerbouwPro is not liable for: • The performance of work • The quality of the work delivered • Disputes between Users • Damage arising from agreements

In plain language: we are a platform that brings supply and demand together. We are not responsible for what happens between client and tradesperson. What VerbouwPro is NOT responsible for: • The quality of work carried out (example: if a painter delivers poor work) • Damage to your home (example: if a plumber causes a leak) • Financial problems (example: if a tradesperson does not turn up and you have to arrange emergency cover) • Incorrect information from users (example: if someone lies about their experience) • Website outages (example: if you temporarily cannot log in) What VerbouwPro IS responsible for: • The proper functioning of our platform • Processing reports and complaints • Complying with privacy legislation • Fairly presenting the information we publish ourselves If VerbouwPro is liable: We will compensate at most the amount you have paid to VerbouwPro in the past 12 months. This is a standard limitation that many platforms apply. Tip for clients: Always ask the tradesperson about insurance and guarantees. A good tradesperson has liability insurance.

All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including texts, images, software and design, belong to VerbouwPro or its licensors. Users grant VerbouwPro a licence to use the content they post for the functioning of the Platform.

VerbouwPro processes personal data in accordance with its privacy policy and applicable legislation. By using the Platform you consent to this processing. See our privacy policy for more information.

Users can leave reviews and ratings. These must: • Be based on actual experiences • Be honest and not misleading • Not contain offensive or discriminatory content VerbouwPro reserves the right to remove or amend reviews that breach these rules.

VerbouwPro reserves the right to: • Change these terms • Modify or discontinue the Platform • Change prices Changes are communicated through the Platform. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the new terms.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam. We encourage Users to first try to resolve disputes between themselves or to contact us for mediation.
