Transparency about how VerbouwPro ranks jobs and shows them to tradespeople
Why this page?
Under the EU Platform-to-Business Regulation (P2B), we are required to be transparent about how we rank jobs and display them to business users.
Factors that determine the ranking
The order in which jobs are shown is determined by the following factors, in order of importance:
Distance
High impactJobs closer to your registered location rank higher. Distance is calculated from the postcode.
Category match
High impactIf you select "Recommended for you", you only see jobs in your registered trades.
Publication date
Medium impactNewer jobs generally rank higher than older ones.
How does the algorithm work?
Step 1: Filtering
First we filter jobs by the category you chose. With "Recommended for you" we use your registered trades.
Step 2: Sorting by distance
Jobs are sorted by distance from your location, from nearest to furthest.
Step 3: Secondary sorting
Where the distance is equal, newer jobs are shown first.
Tips for tradespeople
- 1.Keep your location and working area up to date to see relevant jobs
- 2.Register every trade you work in
- 3.Use "All jobs" to search outside your trade
- 4.Respond quickly to new jobs for the best chance
