Point your own domain
Use your own domain name for your VerbouwPro website. For example: www.yourcompany.nl → verbouwpro.nl/v/your-slug
How does it work?
As a tradesperson on VerbouwPro you have a personal website at verbouwpro.nl/v/your-name. If you have already bought your own domain name (for example yourcompany.nl), you can point it there so that visitors to your domain land on your VerbouwPro page automatically.
What do you need?
- An active VerbouwPro account with your website switched on
- Your VerbouwPro website slug (found in your dashboard under "My Website")
- Access to your domain name's DNS settings at your provider
Method 1: URL forwarding (recommended)
The simplest method. Your domain provider automatically sends visitors on to your VerbouwPro page. This works with almost every provider.
Steps:
- Log in to your domain provider (TransIP, Versio, GoDaddy, etc.)
- Look for the "URL forwarding", "Doorverwijzing" or "Redirect" option
- Set up forwarding from your domain to:
https://www.verbouwpro.nl/v/your-slug - Choose "301 Redirect (permanent)" for the best SEO
- Save and wait 5-30 minutes for the change to take effect
Method 2: DNS CNAME record
For advanced users. With a CNAME record you can point a subdomain (e.g. www.yourcompany.nl) to VerbouwPro.

Please note:
After setting up a CNAME record, you also need to add your own domain in your VerbouwPro dashboard under "My Website" → "Custom domain". This lets our system recognise your domain. DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to take effect worldwide.
By provider: step by step
TransIP
- Log in to your TransIP account at transip.nl
- Go to "Domeinen" (Domains) and click your domain name
- Click "DNS" in the left-hand menu
- Add a new CNAME record (see the table above)
- Save the changes
Versio
- Log in to your Versio account
- Go to "Mijn domeinen" (My domains) and select your domain
- Click "DNS beheren" (Manage DNS)
- Add a CNAME record with the correct values
- Click "Opslaan" (Save)
Antagonist
- Log in to the Antagonist control panel
- Go to "Domeinen" (Domains) → "DNS-beheer" (DNS management)
- Select your domain name
- Click "Record toevoegen" (Add record) and choose CNAME
- Fill in the values and save
GoDaddy
- Log in to your GoDaddy account
- Go to "My Products" → "DNS"
- Click "Add" under Records
- Choose type "CNAME" and fill in the values
- Click "Save"
Cloudflare
- Log in to your Cloudflare dashboard
- Select your domain
- Go to "DNS" → "Records"
- Click "Add record" and choose type CNAME
- Fill in the values and click "Save"
Common problems
My domain doesn't work after setting it up
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours. Wait a day and try again. Also check that you entered the correct values and that the record has been saved.
I see the error "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"
This means the DNS record has not propagated yet or has been set up incorrectly. Check that the CNAME record is correct and wait up to 24 hours.
Can I use a domain without "www"?
A "naked domain" (without www) cannot be set up with a CNAME record. In that case use Method 1 (URL forwarding), or set up an A record if your provider supports it. The simplest solution is a redirect from yourcompany.nl to www.yourcompany.nl.
